How much weight should you be able to lift at the bench press and dumbbell press?

The average weight that you’ll hear most coaches tell their athletes they should be able to bench at least their body weight on the bench. Now, with dumbbells that can be a bit tricky, mainly because of the symmetry they require. I don't really program any dumbbell movements for weight or even pay attention to the weight (as long as it's sufficiently heavy for what I'm trying to accomplish).
